Dublin Ferry Terminal

Dublin Port is located 3km from the hotel which is a 12-15 minute journey via car or taxi. Guests driving to The Davenport can park at our hotel carpark, Alexander Court.

Dublin International Airport

Dublin Airport is located 15km from The Davenport. As the hotel is so centrally located, guests have a number of transport links to and from the airport.

By Car or Taxi (20-45 minutes, depending on traffic). There is a taxi rank at the airport just outside the main door or Terminal 1 and 2. Costing approximately €30, taxis are available day or night. There is also a taxi rank directly outside The Davenport, however, our front desk team would be more than happy to order a taxi for you at a time of your choosing. Guests with their own car can drive via the city centre or toll bridge and park at our hotel car park, Alexander Court. At peak times, we recommend travelling via the toll to avoid the worst of the city traffic.

By Airlink (between 30 – 40 minutes): The Airlink 757 serves the south side of Dublin City, and goes as far as Camden (Charlotte Way and Harcourt Street), with stops at Grand Canal Dock, Pearse Street, Merrion Square, St. Stephen’s Green, Earlsfort Terrace and Adelaide road. There is a stop located right outside the Davenport Hotel – just ask your driver if you don’t know the area and they will inform you when you have arrived to The Davenport.

City Centre Location

The Davenport Hotel enjoys a prime city centre location, steps away from Merrion Square right in the heart of Georgian Dublin. All of Dublin city centre is within walking distance or easy commute, including Dublin’s cultural attractions and landmarks such as the National Gallery of Ireland, Grafton Street, the city’s premiere shopping district and Dublin’s main business districts, including Grand Canal Dock and the IFSC.

Main Dublin City Centre Train Stations

The Davenport is located within a 3-minute walk of Pearse Street, offering DART services across the Dublin and wider Ireland rail network. The city’s largest rail station, Connolly Station is a 4-minute taxi ride from the hotel while a taxi from Heuston Station, which serves the West and South Irish rail network is a 15-minute journey from the lobby.
